The magnitude of the internal resistance of lead-acid batteriesreflects their load capacity. Under the same conditions, thesmaller the internal resistance, the greater the output current,and the stronger the load capacity. The internal resistance oflead-acid batteries includes the resistance of the electrode plate,separator, electrolyte, connecting rod, and pole. The resistance ofthe electrode plate is very small in a fully charged state, but asthe discharge degree of the battery increases, the amount of PbSO4covering the surface of the electrode plate increases, and theresistance of the electrode plate will also increase. Theresistance of the separator mainly depends on the material,thickness, and porosity of the separator. Among commonly usedseparators, the resistance of the microporous plastic separator issmall. The resistance of the electrolyte is related to theelectrolyte. Temperature and relative density are related. When thetemperature decreases, the viscosity of the electrolyte increases,the permeability decreases, and the resistance increases. However,when the relative density of the electrolyte is too high or toolow, the resistance increases
据国标GB5008.1—1991《启动用铅酸蓄电池技术条件》规定,将充足电的新蓄电池,在电解液温度为(25±5)℃的条件下,以20h放电率(即放电电流恒定为0.05C20A)连续放电,直至单格电池电压降到1.75V时,所输出的电量称为蓄电池的额定容量,用C20表示。例如:6-CA-100型铅酸蓄电池的“100”就是额定容量,即额定容量也就是设计容量,是检验蓄电池性能的重要标志之一。
启动容量表征了铅酸蓄电池在发动机启动时的供电能力,是检验蓄电池质量的重要指标之一。启动容量受温度影响很大,故又分为常温启动容量和低温启动容量两种。
