The main reason why lead-acidbatteries cannot be used normally is that the plates are coveredwith layers of hard and dense white lead sulfate crystals, whichcannot be converted into active substances during charging, therebyreducing the battery's discharge capacity and causing it toeventually "suffocate". This process is called sulfidation. Thereare various reasons for vulcanization, including deep discharge,undercharging, and long-term storage without use of batteries. Overtime, vulcanization significantly reduces the performance oflead-acid batteries and shortens their lifespan. The direct symptomof vulcanization is a decrease in the range of the ball car, whichis essentially a decrease in battery capacity. Only by completelysolving the vulcanization problem of lead-acid batteries can theservice life of batteries be truly extended.
