If you have fully charged your battery and think it is faulty thereare 2 options on how to process your warranty claim:
Option 1 -Having the battery tested yourself
Take the battery to a local garage for a battery test. Make surethe battery is fully charged and over 12volts when the test isperformed. Ensure that the voltage is shown on the test report.
Send the test report via fax, email or post with a copy of yourinvoice or order number. Make sure your address and phone number isincluded.
When we have received the test report and the invoice we will callyou to arrange a new product to be sent to you and collection ofthe faulty item.
Option 2 -Returning the battery for Test
Call us with your invoice / order number, we will then take adeposit of £20 and collect your battery for testing.
If the battery is faulty we will refund your deposit and send you areplacement battery.
If your battery is not faulty we will send the battery back to youwith the print out from the tester. The battery will be sent backfully charged and ready to use.
Under the warranty no refunds will be issued.
Pleasenote:
A Warranty Replacement is invalid as a result of:
a) Normal wear and tear
b) Failure to follow the instruction manual
c) Negligent and improper storage, usage or installation
d) Unauthorised modifications to the battery
e) The use of so-called means of improvement
f) Warranties are void if the under 10.6V
Alphaline / Hankook Leisure Batteries
The warranty of Alphaline / Hankook Leisure Batteries is reduced ifused for the following applications:
Live Aboard usage: 1 Year
Commercial and Industrial usage: 1 Year
Electric fence usage: 6 Months
To claim on the warranty of your item, you will need a copy of yourinvoice or invoice number.
Unwanted Items
We will accept unwanted goods returned to us in unused conditionwithin 30 days of purchase. The goods must be accompanied by proofof purchase and appropriate notes. Please do not return an item tous without documentation on the strength of an email or telephoneconversation we may have had. We deal with many customers and it isnot possible to remember every individual case. If you are sendingunwanted goods back they must be in a resalable condition otherwisethey will not be accepted as unused. We cannot issue refunds forused goods (i.e. when you try to install the item you forfeit yourright to cancel).
Receipt/ Guarantee
The receipt for your item will be emailed to the email addressprovided through eBay. Please print out and keep your receipt. Inthe event of having to make a warranty claim you will need to beable to prove that you bought the item from us and not allmarketplace systems keep sale details indefinitely.
Liability information
Short deliveries must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. Ifyour item arrives and appears to have been damaged in transit,please do not accept delivery.
Many of our products are intended for professional installation. Wewill not be held liable for any damage to person or object causedby incorrect installation of our products. If you are unsure aboutthe correct way to install a product please seek advice from aqualified person or contact our technical team.
Delivery information
Our stock computer is not linked to the internet quantityavailable. We do our best to make sure that we have everything instock that we list on the internet but occasionally we get caughtout when stock drops to low levels. In this case we will offer afull refund or an upgrade. In most instances we use UK Mail as ourcourier of choice. For certain deliveries we also use a palletcompany or our own transport.
Delivery addresses
Once the item has been shipped is not possible to change thedelivery address. It is crucial that you spell your addresscorrectly and include your postcode accurately because our systemtakes your text directly and imports it into our dispatch system.Errors can cause delays or even the need to rebook a parcel at yourexpense if your data entry is the cause of the problem. It is alsocrucial that you provide a valid contact number for delivery.
Waste Battery Regulations
Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Battery Megastore are nowoffering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries, youcan return your waste batteries to our business premises inperson.
Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable batteryrecycling facility at www.recyclenow.com
Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will havecollection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, librariesor schools may also set up collection points. End-users may findstores in their local area more accessible.
WEEE
With effect from July 2007, the UK's Waste Electrical andElectronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all producersof electrical equipment are now obliged to pay for these items tobe recycled when they become waste. These regulations also requirethat all retailers both actively assist in delivering a UK wideWEEE collection infrastructure and encourage the participation ofconsumers in recycling electronic equipment.
So that you can get your waste electrical goods recycled, we havecontributed towards a national fund to assist local councils tofurther develop their existing waste electronics collectionfacilities, which will in turn allow producers of this equipment tomeet their obligations. To remind consumers to recycle, allelectrical items sold now carry the 'crossed out wheeled bin'symbol.
